The first year o...Couple of corrections for you...<br /><br />The first year of production was 1979.<br />The Wolfsburg Edition didn't come out until 1983.<br /><br />Funny thing about the "Wolfsburg" Edition - none of the convertibles in its entire run were built in Wolfsburg. They were all built in Osnabruck alongside the Scirocco.<br /><br />I had a 1981 way back then. Loved it so much that I just recently found and purchased a 1981 with only 62,000 miles on it.
