In our basement of treasures, we have several big plastic bins. There's the greens ones, but a few are black and orange. Today we brought up the black and orange ones.
When we first moved into our house, we always brought up the Halloween decorations, but the last couple of years, the boxes have stayed in the basement. Maybe it's because time flies so fast--especially at the end of the year--that around the time it feels like it should be Halloween, it's about a week away from Thanksgiving.
This year, though, we decided to set up our Halloween decorations (or, the kids decided we should...). We don't overdue it, but the few decorations we have are fun.
These ghosts are made of cheesecloth and some sort of hardening substance. I think I got them from a work party over 10 years ago...fun stuff, and so simple.
And, of course, the haunted piano player just adds to the creepiness...
Turn off the lights and the illuminated spiders and pumpkins take center stage. Even though Christmas decorations are king, Halloween decorations are the most fun...
