Several weeks ago I attended a writing conference. Through the miracle of technology (and free wifi...) I connected with several authors during and after the conference. Some I met--others I did not. Earlier this month I met one of those authors, Chas (pronounced "Chaz") Hathaway. He couldn't have been nicer.
He obviously has been doing this writing thing for a while because he runs his own media empire! He's got his own website (i.e. name + .com) but that's only the beginning. He's got a video podcast that he writes, stars in, produces, edits, and, directs. I'd imagine some of his co-stars can, at times, be difficult to direct (Smile, honey! Sit still in the chair while I leap over it--don't move! Let's see some tears...you can do it!).

The guy write music, writes novels, makes video podcasts that make my kids giggle, and helps me out when I have questions.

I had a chance to meet Chas at the conference. Super nice person. And he certainly is making a run at this media thing. Go Chas, go.
