It took me a long time before I knew of Davis County's Snow Horse. I think I was at my kid's soccer game (back when they used to play soccer--in fact, my oldest son's patented "Reverse Kick" was a sight to behold...definitely a show-stopper) when one of the other player's parents pointed out the Snow Horse on the mountain.
Back in 1995 an article in the Deseret News highlighted the Snow Horse legend. Here's the link: Snow Horse. I have a great view from the building where I work.
When I first heard and saw the horse, I didn't notice his little friend. Ever since I read the article, it will always be a bat for me.
