Basement Treasures...

My friend posted on Facebook a picture of his family with his children all grown up. This friend and his wife served me a meal when I first got to Denmark on my mission (we didn't get a lot of dinner appointments in Denmark...). I thought I took some pictures of his family when we were there. I started looking for my mission pictures, but I got distracted and found some family treasures. Here's what I found.

I found a birth announcement for my mother's cousin's daughter. She's a Facebook Friend so I just had to add it and I'll let her know it's posted.

When I was a kid, my brother and I cut this picture of Moses Malone out of the local newspaper. We hung it up on the wall and it stayed there for maybe 10 years. I have no idea how it got saved and put in my stuff, but it did.

I remember a concert I attended at the University of Utah Special Events Center where me and many other kids all played our accordians. There was a special guest there that evening, none other than Myron Floren, principle accordian player for Lawrence Welk. I remember standing in line and I got a signed photo. I probably haven't looked at that picture for over 30 years...

There were other things in the basement and I hope to include some of them in later posts, but I think I found a true gem. Behold the instructions on how to make Relief Society Acrylic Grapes!
