The Robinson Tree Farm From Kalispell, Montana...

I got the text message as I came home on the bus. "How about getting the tree tonight?" I'm glad she suggested it. After working 11 hours, staying home in a warm house sounded pretty good.

We loaded up the van and headed to Layton, Utah to the Robinson Tree Farm from Kalispell, Montana! These guys are the best! We found a fantastic tree last year at the Robinson Tree Farm and we were fortunate enough to have them back again this year.

I always wanted to live in a log cabin, but when it came time to build our house, we couldn't get anyone to give us a turn-key cost so we ended up drawing plans for a cabin and framed it. Needless to say, we have high ceilings, about 25' high ceilings in our main room. A tall, skinny tree works looks great in our house.

And the tall, skinny trees at the Robinson Tree Farm from Kalispell, Montana are the best and cheapest around! It was cold, dark and I kept remembering scenes from the tree-buying experience in A Christmas Story. They're open until about 9pm unless it gets slow, then they shut down a little earlier. If you want to see their selection yourself, they're located where Kings used to be in Layton at the now vacant Fort Lane Shopping Center.

We got it home and put it in the stand. Tomorrow while I'm at work the kids will go about transforming the house into a winter wonderland...well, our version of a winter wonderland. They can't wait. Just another reason why Christmas is one of the best times of the year!

  1. I am so glad to see this post! This is the reason my Grandpa Ralph Robinson loved selling Christmas Trees He loved the joy it brought to people and probably still enjoys it in heaven! Thank you for such lovely comments about our family business! Hope to keep seeing you there for many more years!
