Tomorrow the anthology of really short stories called Flash 500 will be available for download on Amazon and it's my understanding it will only be available for a short time (90 days, I believe...). Also, this can only be purchased as an e-book, but it can't be purchased because it's free.
I'm excited for this because the stories I wrote that have been included were all written in a very short period of time. I would usually see the picture that we were to include in the story, think of creative ways to use the five required words and try to keep my stories under the 500 word limit. Those are basically the rules for our writing prompts: must use the photo, 500 word limit, and five randomly-chosen words must be used. Oh, and there's a week to write the story.
I'm also excited because my son has a story in the book as well. I've checked Amazon today and it's not available. I'll post a link on here when it is.
I know I'm not a big-time published author, but there's one crazy stat that can be attached to my name. I've had two books launch with stories in them that I wrote in a two-week span. That's kind of cool.
