For lunch we loaded up the kids in the van and headed down to Cafe Zupas. Cafe Zupas is a mostly local eatery that serves fantastic food. We'd go there more, but...you know how it is. We also like to eat the other days of the week, too.
No, it's not that bad, but it's pricier than other places we could choose.
We went to Cafe Zupas today because it's the last day my son worked as a food server, food preparer, table buser, cashier runner, and greeter. After today he'll spend all his time preparing for his church mission.
We arrived right after 12 o'clock and the place was packed! I've worked at a couple of restaurants back in the day. It's tough work and he worked there for a year all at minimum wage.
I'm really proud of him. He found the job, got the job and worked hard. His was the kind of job you get to learn things about yourself. Who you are, what hard work is, how to work as a member of a team. I'm glad he took the job, but I'm more glad of what he's going to do next.
