Cast Party Night...

A Night For A Party...

What would make a dozen or so adults volunteer their time and gather several times a week for a couple of months including every night for the last two weeks? To have a cast party, of course... Last night was that party for us.

We gathered at the director's house (in a sweet party basement...) and enjoyed food and fun. Some were unable to attend and they were missed. Others brought spouses and we made new friends. There's something that brings people together when they do a play that you don't get from just being neighbors, or being in the same congregation. You share something on a personal level.

The crowd ate, then visited, then played some ping pong (in that order...).

Once we tired ourselves out, the gang sat down to watch the show. We also received awards from the director and our cast pictures. My wife and I left before while the rest stayed to watch the play. Since I was only on stage for a few minutes two-thirds into the play, and since we had our children waiting for us at home, we decided to call it a night. It was a good cast party.

  1. I was just thinking it would be fun to be in a play about ping-ponging. I'd get so much better at the game.

It was a fun night. I'm gonna have to make me some more of Ray's Love Dream Ice Cream. I'll miss you all!
