The holiday season is officially over. It's like Daylight Savings Time. In the fall I put up the Christmas lights and in the spring I take them down.
Usually, the lights are down by now, but this year we had some serious snow which remained for several months. I suppose I could have taken them down a week or two earlier, but not much earlier.
It's funny--I'm much less careful putting the lights away. Most likely some of the strings of light will not work when we bust them out in about eight months. Maybe the cat will find bulbs buried in the sand that fell from the tugged and yanked cords. I guess we'll find out a few weeks after we change our clocks...
