Plowing Not Quite Frozen Snow...

I saw something today I've never seen before. I grabbed my camera so you could see it as well. Chances are, you've never seen something like this before, either.

On days of heavy rain (such as today and many days this spring...), a quick storm causes a lake to suddenly appear in our parking lot at work.

On the other side of that truck that is plowing water is a drain. Most of the water that falls on the parking lot is directed to that drain. Unfortunately, the drain is defective. A co-worker who has worked in the building longer than I have told me today that several attempts to fix the drain have failed and when people complain that a new lake has formed below their cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs, something needs to be done.

I give you The Solution!

I know it's not perfect for we live in an imperfect world. I watched the truck make a few passes and I suppose some good was done. Eventually the rain stopped, the sun came out, and dried up all the rain, and the itsy bisty snowplow truck went back in storage again...

  1. That video was pretty funny! At the kids school there is a retaining basin, it is SO full, it's probably a danger as it's deep enough someone could drown. So much water! Will it ever stop raining?
