Sledding At Night...

I've said it before and I will say it once again...we are blessed with good neighbors. It's true. We live at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. There are no fences separating property boundaries. We wave to each other as we drive by, and in warmer months, we'll stop and chat with each other on occasion.

The neighbor to the west has property that, in the past, has been used as a horse pasture. Growing up I remember when they had horses. A few years ago, they put another horse on the lower half. Most of the year the pasture is unused, However, once the snow flies, it's turned into a great place to go sledding.

Each fall my neighbor mows the weeds that have grown all summer. He does this because he knows the kids will flock to the hill in the winter. In fact, he mowed the property just last week in anticipation of the big storm.

And another thing that makes our neighbors really cool is the huge light they attach to their roof. When people show up and sled after the sun sets, they flood the pasture with light. Yes, we are blessed with good neighbors...I've said it yet again.
