For Dinner Tonight, We Thought We'd Try...German

We saw the notice and I thought, "Brilliant!" Of course they should be open. I mean, why not?

Lagoon's Biergarten is now open for business.

This is almost as big a news story as when it opened up for the first time.

Why?

Because surrounding the restaurant, there's rides, and games, and eateries, and other adventures just sitting there...waiting for people.

Of all the places to eat in Utah, this may provide the most unusual path for you to get your food. Drive to Lagoon and pull into their huge (and, unfortunately...) mostly empty parking lot. Normally, getting a spot so close to the front entrance is next to impossible. Tonight, we were all so lucky.

Getting to the restaurant is a hike, but it's not bad. Seeing beautiful flowers and sights most people never see (an empty park...) make the walk a nice diversion.

We ordered to go, which probably doesn't happen much at this particular restaurant. We also didn't order any beer--we were in the minority with that one. I think most people, when they found out the Biergarten was open, they thought...BEER. Not us, we were there for the food.

After a short wait, we left with sacks of food, back the way we came and into the car. If you're looking for a change in the usual places to eat, check out Lagoon's Biergarten. They're open this weekend Saturday and Sunday 11am - 7pm. Es ist wunderschön!
