Before the big fire broke out on the mountain, my family and I headed down to the county fair. Except for the blistering heat and distance between venues (where heat played a part...), it was a pretty good fair.
We saw lots of animals--kids love the animals. We even saw a duck in the chicken venue.
This poor turtle was desperately trying to get away from the kids at the petting zoo...poor turtle.
And some brave souls allowed themselves to become holders of snakes and spiders. The snakes I think I could handle...the spiders, not so much.
We saw dogs jumping in water,
And people walking between booths.
And, of course, the wisdom of TV reality stars sums things up perfectly. Good day at the fair!
