The Clock On The Wall...

Our Daylight Savings Clock

It looks like an ordinary clock, but it's not...it's possessed. This clock refuses to be changed for Daylight Savings Time.

Our clock began its life as an ordinary wall clock, larger than most, but nice, simple, understated. Over the years we've had to change the AA battery, which was no big deal. But as time clicked on, we began to have issues with our wall clock. The size of the clock makes it difficult to re-attach it to the nail/screw in the wall, and when the clock is again hung, sometimes the numbers are a bit askew...

These problems proved not to be a big deal. What really freaked us out is when the clock began not to work every time we changed the time for Daylight Savings. The clock would act like the battery was dying even though the battery was new. We could hear the clicking, but the hands seemed stuck.

Somehow, last year the clock began working and kept working so last October (or maybe it was November...) when it came time to change our clock again, we decided to just let it be. For the past five months our clock has been an hour ahead. And thanks to the United States Government, our clock is finally showing the correct time! At least, until the fall...
